This website has been created and founded by Dr. Sanjiv Khanse, a medical graduate, with the primary intention of sharing his studies and experiences with the non-experts (or medical laymen if you like) in order that they are educated about the various health ailments.

The doctors, we visit, many a time do not have the time to explain in detail “the whys and the how’s and the don’ts”  of the health ailment we have contracted. And it is not practical for us to expect them to explain this to each patient as every subject in medicine is so vast — the causes, symptoms, complications, treatments, preventive steps, alternative remedies, etc.

I have been practicing medicine for the last twenty-five years in the city of Mumbai (formerly Bombay), which is the financial capital of India and which has a population of more than 13 million. The reason why I am mentioning this is that the exposure that a physician gets here during his studies and medical practice is tremendous. I now practice in Pune, another city near Mumbai.

I write all articles myself and have taken a few references and have given credit where due. Inadvertently, however, if I have failed to do so, I shall stand corrected when such an omission is pointed out to me.

I have tried to use a very simple and non-medical language for my non-medical friends to understand and if my articles can convince just a fraction of my readers of the importance of prevention,  I will feel that I have succeeded.

Freelance writing

I am also a freelance writer with a few articles to my credit. I am also open to writing as a ghostwriter. The articles on this website can serve as samples of my writing style.
